How does a Core work?

Your Core Programs live inside your Family Learning Plan.

Step 1: Open a Core

In the Core tile, click Lessons.

First time opening? You’ll see the Core Overview

Already opened before? You’ll go straight to the Lesson Overview

👉 We strongly recommend starting with the Core Overview.

Step 2: Check the Core Overview

The Core Overview is your roadmap. It shows:

what the program covers

what resources you’ll need

how lessons are structured

You can read it online or download it — whatever works best.

Step 3: Begin Lessons

Scroll to the bottom and click Begin Lessons to start Lesson 1.

Each lesson includes activities to work through at your own pace.

Use the progress bar to track completion

Click the Core name at the top to return to all lessons

Use the sidebar to go back to your Family Learning Plan

💡 If you have a 12‑month membership, you can also download and print lessons.

Step 4: Work Through Activities

Activities are easy to scan:

Headings and key instructions are in bold

Some include discussion questions to build understanding and thinking

You can adapt activities to suit your learner — written responses, discussion, or your own approach.
