How Many Core Programs should I choose?

Generally, 4-7 Core Programs for each child will be sufficient for a 12 month period.

We suggest that for each term, you choose one program that focuses on English (Programs such as Creative Phonics or A Sea of Words), one that focuses on Maths and one Core Program that focuses on another area of interest. Mostly a Maths Core Program will be used throughout an entire year, and other Core Programs are of different lengths.

If you have multiple children, try to choose Core Programs that suit all your children together where possible.

Just because a Core Program is in your Learning Plan doesn’t mean you need to start it right away. Many families do 2-4 Core Programs at the same time. We strongly suggest you begin with one Core Program and then add a second or third when you're feeling ready. Keep adding one at a time until you find a good mix for your child/ren.
