Where is our English Program?

Most English Activities are integrated into each Core Program through Reading good books and Write in Colour. In real life, we don’t think and learn in separate subjects. We use all our skills and previous knowledge to understand and learn new skills and knowledge.

WRITING

We suggest you always have a CORE Program that includes Write in Colour in your Family Learning Plan. Write in Colour is designed so that you learn writing skills in the context of your other subjects using the content of your other subjects.

Write in Colour is available at 3 levels. All students need to begin with Level 1 because this course is a particular way of understanding Grammar and Writing.

Level 1 - The Basics (Grammar and sentence structure)

Level 2 - Intermediate (Improving sentences with Six Super Sentence Starters and structuring paragraphs)

Level 3 - Advanced (Whole Texts including Essay Writing)

Check that you have included Write in Colour at an appropriate level for your children.

You might find that you have included Write in Colour in several programs - this is normal. If you have never studied Write in Colour before, it is important that you have at least one Level 1 program. (Write in Colour with Aesops Fables 1 is an excellent introduction for older children)
