The Messy Book

Your child’s Messy Book is also a form of record keeping and is used in many CORE programs.

It’s your work space and your child's workspace - your thinking space - your note taking and teaching notes space. It doesn’t need to be neat, it just keeps a record of thoughts, lessons, progress and planning. Ways to use your Messy Book:

Instead of scrap paper when you’re drawing an explanation of something for your child

take notes for an essay

build a word bank

draw a sketch for designing a garden

write a shopping list

plan a weekly menu

record a question you googled…

Our recommendation - purchase a small pile of cheap exercise books. Each child needs their own messy book. Date your work.

Your messy book has a tag in any lessons where we suggest you use it.

Add messy books to your list of books to purchase.
