Lapbooking Resources

Lapbooking is an essential part of Simply Homeschool. Lapbooks come in various forms:

An A4 Visual Arts Diary is our main recommended Lapbook. You can use 1 book for all subjects together. These create a beautiful record of your learning. They are excellent for Record Keeping as they show progress in each subject.

These are available from Officeworks, K-Mart and Art Supplies shops. We recommend premium paper and double spiral bound for durability and viewing pleasure for many years to come.

Nature Journaling is also a form of Lapbooking. We recommend a hardcover A5 Diary. These are also useful for record keeping as your journal entries will demonstrate progress over time.

Small lapbooks for particular purposes are also included. Some examples:

• Wonderland of Nature includes creating a set of ID Cards using index cards, kept on a card ring.
• A Year on our Farm includes making a wall calendar to track the days, date, weather and daily activities.
• Waterhole includes making a counting book
• The Story of Clocks and Calendars includes making a 12-month calendar including artwork.

Lapbook has a tag in any lessons where we suggest you use it.
