The Simply Homeschool Plan for Learning to Write (Years 7-10)

Learn to Write and Learn to Type.

During these years most children will now become independent in being able to:

• Read fluently enough to collect content
• Handwrite their word banks/notetaking,
• Spell the words they’d like to write (or at least copy them accurately and recognise when they’re incorrect) 
• Type enough that they can type their writing into the computer.
• They can then learn to put paragraphs together to create essays, including learning how to write Introductions and Conclusions.

Most children who complete several years of Write in Colour can competently write a 1000 word essay by the end of year 10.
