Tour a theatre and meet the cast and crew of a new Australian play, Legacies, with an exclusive behind-the-scenes access pass.
Learn how to write music for the stage with an acclaimed composer. Explore the world of physical theatre. Taste what it is to be a professional actor!
Famous to notorious, remarkable to glorious - check out some of the people and artists who have shaped our national identity on a visual arts tour through the National Portrait Gallery.
Experience art and science from a different perspective in the Hotshop at the Canberra Glassworks. Uncover the science of glass in action as you watch artists demonstrate the art of glass blowing.
Note: The Legacies show contains mild language and some scenes that may distress young children. This is a true story that some people may find troubling. Simply Homeschool recommends parents make an informed decision about their children attending the Legacies show.

NOTE: Children must be from the same immediate family and be aged 8+
Camp fees are per child and include entry to all activities plus a Canberra Camp 2023 t-shirt transfer. Adults are not required to pay camp fees, but are required to supervise their children for some (but not all) activities. More information in the FAQ below.

Accommodation is NOT included in camp fees and needs to be booked directly with Crestview Tourist Park via stay@crestview.com.au or on 1800 883 310. The below rates are calculated based on 4 nights and 2 adults/2 children.

FAQ
Yes. We offer an option where you can pay with a number of equal instalments.
The first instalment will occur when you register. Further payments will be deducted from your credit card on 23 March and 20 April and 18 May. No payment plan is available when registration is received after 22 March 2023. For full details and terms of payment plans, please see Terms and Conditions.

The camp will be held at Crestview Tourist Park, 81 Donald Road, Queanbeyan, NSW. Activities are based in various locations. Below are the approximate travel times from Crestview Tourist Park to the attractions we will visit:
- The Q – Queanbeyan Performing Arts Centre: 4 minutes
- Canberra Glassworks: 14 minutes
- National Portrait Gallery: 17 minutes
- Kulture Break: 15 minutes
This camp is for Simply Homeschool families. We welcome both Simply Homeschool members and non-members. Simply Homeschool full members will receive a discount.
This camp is designed for children ages 8+ years.
This is an example timetable only. The final timetable will be sent out before the camp.
NB: At the time of publishing this webpage, the Legacies workshops do not require adult supervision. We will let you know closer to the camp if there are any other activities that do not require adult supervision.

No. Each family is responsible for their own meals. On some days a packed lunch and/or dinner is advised. This will be advised within the schedule.
Coles, Woolworths and Aldi are within a 4-minute drive. IGA is within a 3-minute drive.
No. We encourage you to participate in activities, but please feel free to relax at the campground or around the local area.
There will be activities throughout the camp that accommodate all levels of ability.
No, however, Simply Homeschool full members receive a discounted rate.
This camp is being organised by Simply Homeschool and will be held at Crestview Tourist Park.
This camp is:
- Fully risk-assessed.
- Facilitated by professional, experienced guides at each attraction.
We hope you do not need to cancel your participation at the camp, however, if cancellation takes place the following terms will apply.
Cancellation of a booking by you must be made in writing. It is up to you to cancel your booking. We will not regard a booking as cancelled unless and until written notice is received by us.
On cancellation the following charges will apply:
- More than 30 days notice before the camp starting date - you will receive a refund minus a $100 administrative fee.
- 30 days or less before the scheduled camp - there will be no refund provided. You may transfer to another participant of Simply Homeschool, but the payment must be organised between the two parties.
Please be aware that if you cancel once the camp commences or you do not attend, you forfeit all fees.
Late arrival may also result in a forfeited fee. We may reduce, transfer or waive the loss of fee for any reason at our sole discretion.

Children under 18 are not permitted to attend without a parent/guardian. Parents/guardians are fully responsible for the supervision of all their children at all times, unless they are participating in a workshop that does not require parental supervision.
