We all need a break from our busy, over-stimulated lives, and time in nature refreshes our mental and physical health.

Enjoy a peaceful, stress-free week with your family. Swim in the pristine Cobark river, sleep under the stars and build relationships as you spend precious time with your kids and other homeschool families.

We will walk bush tracks, cook over an open fire, play games, nature journal, solve problems, tackle an obstacle course and search for hidden treasures.

Slow down, unplug and immerse yourself in nature at Camp Cobark, nestled in the foothills of the world-heritage Barrington tops.

We all need a break from our busy, over-stimulated lives, and time in nature refreshes our mental and physical health. This family detox bush camp is a beautiful gift of time and memories for your family.

Enjoy a peaceful, stress-free week as we play in the creek, walk Barrington's bush tracks, play games, and cook over an open fire.

Sleep under the stars and build relationships as you spend precious time with your kids and other homeschool families.

Increase your problem-solving skills as we work out how to make do with what we have, face challenges, and navigate unfamiliar surroundings.

Increase your physical activity. We will walk further, breathe deeper, and build strength and resilience.

Settle into your camp chair or hammock with a captivating book from the Camp Library.

Bring your favourite card and board games and share them with other campers. Fly a frisbee or kick a ball with a few friends. Start a game of paddock cricket.

Develop your campfire cooking skills: what about a roast? Test your problem-solving skills and team spirit on a Camp Obstacle Course. Search for hidden treasures in a Super Scavenger Hunt. Bring a flint and steel to try Natural Fire Lighting. BYO whittling knives to make your own spoon. Knot a Paracord Bracelet or key ring. Battle it out like the Vikings with KUBB!

Nurture your observation skills with Nature Journalling. (BYO nature journal, sketching pencils and watercolours or purchase HERE)

Take a drive to Barrington Tops and Thunderbolt's Lookout.

Most of all, soak in the natural surroundings, take a deep breath and cherish every moment.

Non-Members

NB: When reigstering, Vehicle and First child costs will be combined.

NOTE: Children must be from the same immediate family, and all family members must be included in a single booking.

Camp fees are per familym including camping access and a Camp 2025 t-shirt transfer.

NB:  Adults must supervise their children at all times for all activities. 

Add a Simply Homeschool t-shirt for $19.95 (child sizes) or $24.95 (adult sizes) for your Camp 2025 t-shirt transfer.

Accommodation Options

Cobark Bush Camp will be hosted at Camp Cobark.

Accommodation IS included in camp fees.

The per vehicle fee includes camping access for one car (up to 5 people), as well as access to the camp kitchen (including bbq and fridge/freezer) plus toilets, hot shower and firewood.

You will be required to bring all necessary camping equipment. If you are not a seasoned camper, as part of your registration you will have access to our Let's Camp Core Program which we highly recommend completing.

NB: This camp runs from Sunday to Saturday so that there is plenty of time to setup, packup and enjoy the campground and surrounds.

FAQ

Yes. We offer an option where you can pay with a number of equal instalments.

The first instalment will occur when you register. Further payments will be deducted from your credit card on 15 January, 4 April and 24 July. No payment plan is available when registration is received after 14 January 2025. For full details and terms of payment plans, please see Terms and Conditions.

At Camp Cobark, Simply Homeschool with have access to the camp kitchen, including bbq and fridge/freezer, plus toilet and shower.

The camp will be held at Camp Cobark, 2677 Scone Rd, Cobark NSW 2422.

This camp is for Simply Homeschool families. We welcome both Simply Homeschool members and non-members. Simply Homeschool full members will receive a discount.

Please note: Simply Homeschool Bush Camps have a much looser schedule than our typical camp schedule. When I (Karen) take my kids camping, we have a no-time policy. We wake up when we feel like it, eat when we're hungry, and do what we feel like doing. A significant goal for our Bush Camps is to create space and time to relax into each moment and to be completely immersed into what we are doing. We will send out a list of activity ideas and resources you can pack to facilitate these. Simply Homeschool will provide a common area with activities such as our Bush Library, tables, benches and ground mats for board games and art. 

No. Each family is responsible for their own meals. 

 

We encourage you to participate in any activities that get organise on camp, but please feel free to relax at the campground or around the local area.

No, however, Simply Homeschool full members receive a discounted rate.

This camp is being organised by Simply Homeschool.

This camp is:

  • Fully risk-assessed.

We hope you do not need to cancel your participation at the camp, however, if cancellation takes place the following terms will apply.

Cancellation of a booking by you must be made in writing. It is up to you to cancel your booking. We will not regard a booking as cancelled unless and until written notice is received by us.  

Any cancellation requests received prior to or on 45 days before camp will be provided a refund according to the schedule below 

The cancellation schedule is: 

  • Cancellation Notice received 105 days before the start of camp will receive a 90% refund 
  • Cancellation Notice received between 75 and 104 days before the start of camp will receive a 70% refund  
  • Cancellation Notice received between 45 and 74 days before the start of camp will receive a 50% refund.  
  • Cancellation Notice received less than 45 days before the start of camp will receive no refund. 

Please be aware that if you cancel once the Camp commences or you do not attend, you forfeit all fees.  

Late arrival may also result in a forfeited fee. We may reduce, transfer or waive the loss of fee for any reason at our sole discretion.

The Simply Homeschool Cobark Bush Camp is a family camp. Parents/guardians are fully responsible for the supervision of all their children at all times.

Yes. You will require a car to transport yourself and your camping equipment to and from the campground.

Yes. Due to the nature of Simply Homeschool Bush Camps all campers will need to stay onsite.
