Online Class - Lego Challenge (Ages 5-12)
This class is for Simply Homeschool members AND non-members.
Dates: 31/7, 7/8, 14/8, 21/8, 28/8, 4/9, 11/9, 18/9.
Build a bridge! Create your own vehicle! Design a LEGO maze!
You’ll get your creative skills flowing in this amazing online class for 5-12-year-olds. Build a marble run using LEGO bricks and other materials like tubes, ramps, and funnels. Recreate famous landmarks or monuments like the Eiffel Tower, the Statue of Liberty or the Taj Mahal. Design and build your dream house!
These eight separate challenges are designed to encourage creativity, problem-solving, and critical thinking while providing hours of fun with LEGO bricks. You’ll design, create, test, problem-solve and build critical thinking skills!

Online Class - Coastal Creatures Art Beginner's (New Students and younger students)
This class is for Simply Homeschool members AND non-members.
Dates: 1/8, 8/8, 15/8, 29/8, 5/9, 12/9, 19/9, 26/9. NB: no class on the 22/8.
Discover a tantalising world of turtle hatchlings, baby crocodiles, crabs and sea stars as you grab your art supplies and take a journey along our majestic coastlines. Create patterns with shapes as you draw beautiful shells. Explore rockpools and create a home for anemones, corals and small fish. Experiment with cartooning as you give voice to a seagull! There is much to discover as acclaimed artist Kim Michelle Toft guides you through dazzling Coastal Creatures Art.

Online Class - Junior Creative Writing: Travel (Ages 8-12)
This class is for Simply Homeschool members AND non-members.
Dates: 6/8, 13/8, 20/8, 27/8.
Think of an exciting travel plan. Now, work out how to delay the trip for as long as possible through narrative adventure!
Have your characters forgotten to renew their passports or lost their keys? Has the car (or plane!) broken down? Did someone change their mind? Create the obstacles and watch as suspense builds in your story!
Grow your imagination, expand your vocabulary and explore the art of story-telling in this fun and educational writing class!

Online Class - Life Skills Teens (Ages 13+)
This class is for Simply Homeschool members AND non-members.
Dates: 30/7, 6/8, 13/8, 20/8, 27/8, 3/9, 10/9, 17/9, 24/9.
Life Skills Teens will work through skills such as developing a growth mindset, multiple intelligences, smart goal setting, seeking inspiration, mindfulness, resilience, health, time management and more. Suitable for teens ages 13-17.

Online Class - FLY Financially Literate Youth Part 1: Earning Money (Ages 13+)
This class is available to Simply Homeschool members only. NB: You will not able to access the lesson information unless you have a paid Simply Homeschool Membership.
This class runs 2 times per week (Mon and Wed 12.30pm) Mon 29th July-Wed 18th September.
Are you ready to earn money? Do you want to set yourself up for the rest of your life? Enter the world of employment, budgeting and investments! Explore how you can be employed. Discover how to prepare your resume. Learn how to read your first payslip! Compare banking options to keep your hard-earned money safe, investigate the pros and cons of credit, and understand how interest works. Learn about tax, apply for a tax file number, and complete your own tax return. And don't forget retirement - compare super funds and calculate how much money you might need to retire one day! If you are ready to explore the world of work, FLY Financially Literate Youth Part 1 is the core for you!

Discover celebrations and religions of China, Hong Kong, Singapore, Japan, South Korea, India, Australia and New Zealand. Create political maps and learn why they change over time. Cook Chinese dumplings and kimchi fried rice! Make a dot painting! Craft cherry blossoms and a ninja star!

This class is for Simply Homeschool members AND non-members.

Get ready to dream of feasts and magic puddings in this mouth-watering four-week creative writing course! Nothing motivates us quite as much as food. We eat it. Think about it. Grow it. Cook it. Hunt for it. Share it. Explore how food can be used in writing and as inspiration for stories. Create imaginative versions of different kinds of texts including menus and recipes. You’ll get personalised feedback from a professional writer to help your writing grow.

Online Class - Introduction to Print Making (Ages 8+)
This class is for Simply Homeschool members AND non-members.
2nd May - 20th June.
Explore the beautiful art of print making in this interactive online class. Explore the work of various artists and find your own inspiration! You’ll create a garden scene from nature, work with lino blocks and experiment with different textures and colours. Build and play with new skills as you combine print making methods and create a new artwork!
This online class requires textile printing supplies. You can purchase the Intro to Print Making Kit in our Resource Shop. There is also a kit for an additional child if you have multiple children participating.

Online Class - To Kill a Mockingbird (Ages 13+)
This class is available to Simply Homeschool members only.
(English, History & Studies of Religion – Christianity)
This class runs 3 times per week (Mon, Tue Wed 2pm) Mon 29th Jan - Wed 10th April. Classes from the 19-21st Feb will be pre-recorded due to Snowy Mts Camp / No Class 1st April – Easter Monday.
How does an author construct meaning? How important is point of view? Could you write a chapter from a brand new point of view? In this online class, you’ll find the courage to walk in the shoes of others as you delve into classic novel To Kill a Mockingbird. Learn about historical context. Explore the Core beliefs of Christianity as a study of religion. Develop an understanding of slavery, segregation, racial violence, and the Great Depression and discover what it means to fight the good fight.

You will discover continents and oceans, learn to read latitude and longitude and draw physical maps. Use an orange peel to understand map projections! Make your own globe! Find out where in the world your birthday coordinates would land you! In this class, you will dive into a detailed study of South Africa, Egypt, Turkey and the United Arab Emirates.

Online Class - Junior Creative Writing: Lost and Found (Ages 8-12)
This class is for Simply Homeschool members AND non-members.
Dates: 6/2, 13/2, 20/2, 27/2.
Explore the twists and turns of narrative writing in this four-week online class. Create amazing characters and follow along as they find the unexpected or lose things… including getting lost themselves! Learn how to build tension in your stories. Expand your powers of description by inventing places and working with all five senses. Discover how to use dialogue in your writing. In this course, you’ll write stories from guided prompts and get personalised feedback from a professional writer to help your writing grow.

PPEP Talk

Did you know, 1 in 5 Australian teenage girls aged 16-18 suffer from severe period pain?
The Periods, Pain and Endometriosis Program (PPEP Talk®) is a fun, interactive, one-hour program. Developed by medical and education professionals for Year 9-12 students, the program de-mystifies period pain, pelvic pain and endometriosis.
The program aims to:
- Empower and inform young people to recognise symptoms;
- Improve health-seeking behaviours that encourage timely intervention;
- Provide strategies to manage pelvic pain and minimise interruption to daily activities; and
- Enhance mental health and general wellbeing.
PPEP Talk® is a State and Federally funded program which is being offered FREE of charge for homeschool teen girls through Simply Homeschool.
